This is a mid century (1970’s)  cocktail ring with a unique swirled fan design. The large opal has excellent play of colour, bright green and blue giving the overall impression of a pale blue background.

Metal: 9K rose gold.

Gem: Oval cabochon. Light semi transluscent opal with excellent play of colour. Bright green and blue. Flashes of red under microscope. Oval 11.10 mm long by 9.01mm wide.

Condition: Very good. Commensurate with age. No crazing on opal.
