New Zealand colonial brooch with a six pointed star at the centre featuring a cornflower blue sapphire with six small diamonds set in each point.The star sits within a gold circle surrounded by 6 small circles. NZ colonial jewellery is highly sort after and this extremely attractive piece is in superb condition and comes in its original box from B Petersen & co Jewellers of Christchurch NZ. This brooch has a safety chain and is stamped on the back with three diamonds, the markings of which are indistinguishable. The catch functions well.
